Kinder Kidz, a home-based childcare provider in Thornton, Bradford has been awarded the second highest grade by the government’s education watchdog Ofsted.
Kinder Kidz was rated as ‘good with outstanding features’ following an inspection under new, stricter guidelines brought out on on January 6 this year.
The inspector’s report, which has just been published, praised the setting, safety and learning as well as the hard work and thorough understanding of the staff.
The childcare provider missed out on the top ‘outstanding’ grade as it was deemed that the setting should ‘enhance the learning environment outside’.
Chantelle Firth, founder of the Kinder Kidz, said she was “over the moon” with the inspection result.
“We all work incredibly hard to ensure the children get the best experience while in our care,” she said. “The improvements that we’ve made to the setting are extensive so to have our efforts recognised by the official inspectors is very rewarding, and since the inspection, Kinder Kidz have completely redeveloped the outside area making it the perfect outside play & learning area and we fully expect to meet the requirements set by Ofsted for the highest award on our next inspection.”
